Are we part of the Council library service?
We are an independent library with a history that predates Council libraries. Although there have been discussions over the years, we remain separate from Casey Cardinia Libraries. We have a weekly courier service with them so we can exchange books that belong to one another.
When is Storytime?
Storytime is on Tuesdays at 10.30am. Julie welcomes preschool aged children and their parents or carers. She engages with stories and songs and rhymes with actions, followed by a craft activity.
Do we accept donations of books?
We are grateful to accept donations of books, especially those in excellent condition and considered “popular”. We have difficulty managing large quantities at once and can’t accept textbooks or manuals. Donations may be included in the library collection or sold at our regular book sales to raise funds.
Is there a returns chute?
Unfortunately, returns chutes invite all sorts of deposits in addition to returned books. We feel that our location on High Street makes us particularly vulnerable to such things.
Do we have EFTPOS?
We don’t have EFTPOS. Our transactions are usually small and we urge our borrowers to carry a useful amount of cash for all sorts of purposes. We regret any inconvenience.
